  1. To my mind, the answer is E.

    D and E are both correct in structuring parallel between requirements. But D leaves uncertain wether the propensity is one of the requirements itself or it is something that a good teacher should believe in.

    Both D and E are correct, but D is more concise. Repetition of “in” is redundant in this sentence.
